Dear CISB families,

The upcoming holidays provide us with an opportunity to hit the pause button with respect to our busy day to day lives. It affords us the opportunity to have a change of pace and to reflect on the past four months and what we have accomplished as a school community. It is also the perfect time for us at CISB to express sincere thanks to our students, parents/guardians, staff and school community, to say “thank-you” for all your ongoing cooperation, support and understanding.

Working together, we feel blessed to have been able to conduct face-to-face classes during the past 4 months. You have been amazing with your support as we all do whatever it takes to safeguard our students, staff and school community.

Our CISB school community has come together as a family should, to celebrate and support each other. This spirit of togetherness, has allowed us to keep the focus on what is best for children and their learning and well-being. Thanks for living out our new school motto, that “Together is Better”.

As we look to the upcoming New Year for 2022, I remain confident that we will overcome any obstacles that may present themselves because we have all showed a remarkable level of resilience. CISB as a school community is strong and we will continue to support each other in 2022.

As school reopens for all students on January 3rd, please note that we will continue with all our existing safety practices and procedures to ensure we meet or exceed expectations of the local authorities. Thanks in advance for your continued support—it is much appreciated and allows us to continue to educate your child in a positive and safe environment.

Please note two important reminders:

–Scan the QR code to record your travel plans for the winter break.

–In order for your child to be able to enter campus/travel on their school bus on Monday, January 3rd, 2022, your child must provide a paper copy of their COVID-19 test results that have been completed in Beijing, taken within 48 hours of school reopening on January 3rd, 2022.

From all of us, to all of you—Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Jieri kuai le! Xin nian kuai le!

Best regards,

Douglas K. Prescott

Douglas K. Prescott
