The Canadian International School of Beijing accepts applications throughout the year. We use a rolling admissions policy which means that we will accept applications until a grade level is full.
Our Admission process is made up of 3 steps: application, student assessment and acceptance. Before being considered for admission to CISB, students must complete our online application and submit all supporting documentation.
CISB is an International School intended for foreign nationals and enrolment is subject to the terms of our school license with the Beijing Municiple Education Commissions. If you have questions regarding your family’s foreign status, please contact our Admissions team (Admissions@CISBeijing.com).
03. Social Skills
CISB is a learning community bound together by adherence to the principles of respect, responsibility and honesty. As such, CISB accepts only students whose past record demonstrates a clear commitment to these principles.
The maximum class size at CISB is 25 students.
02. Academic Skills
CISB is a university preparatory school that challenges students to meet the highest standards and expects each student to learn to their maximum potential. Based on previous school transcripts and reports, applicants must show their motivation to successfully achieve the high academic standards of CISB.
04. Physical or Learning Disabilities
Although CISB accepts students with mild learning disabilities and with certain physical disabilities, we cannot accept students whose physical or learning disability is judged by our academic staff to be such that we cannot effectively educate the child.
When a grade does not have a seat available, the child will be placed on a waiting list.
- Accepted students are placed on a waiting list in chronological order by date of completed application. Priority is given to CISB Alumni and returning students
- Siblings: siblings of students already enrolled in the school
