James Mc Crory was born in Ireland, he is an experienced educator and administrator with a strong passion for the IB social-constructivist educational philosophy. With 30 years of experience in education across multiple countries, including 12 years in IB schools, Mr. Mc Crory has held various leadership roles such as Head of School, Primary Principal, Secondary Principal, and Deputy Executive Principal. He believes in a student-centered, inquiry-led approach that empowers students to take responsibility for their own learning.

Mr. Mc Crory values the holistic development of students and believes in equipping them with the necessary skills for academic success and personal growth. he has completed various post graduate studies, including a PGCE from the the University of London, an MSc in Learning and Technology from the University of Oxford and an MA in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Bath. These studies have been supplemented by ongoing professional development including various leadership courses offered by the Principals Training Centre and the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the Harvard Business School. He is fluent in English and Spanish, with additional language skills in French and Japanese. He feels extremely privileged and excited to join the CISB community.
