Pieter Cilliers van Ellewee holds an MSc in Human Resources Management from the University of Liverpool, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), a Master of Education from the University of Derby, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Derby, and a Master of Education in Teaching and Curriculum with a specialization in the IB Educator Certificate from the University of Bath. He also holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education with a research focus on formative assessment. Pieter has extensive experience in education and learning development, having served as a Learning and Development Manager, Homeroom and Grade Level Lead Teacher, Subject Teacher, and IB CAS Supervisor. His teaching approach is widely recognized for being fun, enthusiastic, and engaging. As an IBEN Workshop Leader and School Visit Team Member, Pieter brings a wealth of expertise to diverse, internationally focused settings. He is dedicated to fostering student-centered learning environments that empower students to pursue their interests and cultivate a strong sense of global citizenship. Outside his professional life, Pieter enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, socializing with friends, and cherishing moments with his family and loved ones.
