Rebecca Henriksen is from Ontario, Canada. She completed her BA at the University of Waterloo and her teaching license in English Language Arts, with an endorsement in Social Studies, through the Moreland University teacher preparation program. She is currently in the final phase of her MA in Literary Linguistics at the University of Nottingham, focusing on Cognitive Poetics and Text World Theory. In addition to her IB experience in teaching MYP and DP Language Acquisition and MYP and DP Language and Literature, she has also taught English in the Ontario curriculum. She immensely enjoys guiding students in their language development and works to cultivate enthusiasm and a growth mindset as students navigate challenging texts and tasks.
