Mr. Wright began his teaching journey in China in December 2017 after teaching10th-grade English and 9th-grade history under two wonderful mentors in the US. After working for years in Chengdu, he moved to Tianjin in 2020 and taught middle school English, specializing in teaching literature to English Langauge Learners. Mr. Wright received his Master's Degree in Teaching Leadership and Cultural Competency from the University of Iowa in December 2021. While in school, he focused his studies on global citizenship education and culturally responsive teaching. He specializes in working with students of many nationalities and looks forward to working with the students of CISB.

Mr. Wright is joined at CISB by his wife and daughter. Together they love taking long walks, exploring the city, and playing/watching sports. Mr. Wright is also an avid reader and enjoys discussing books and literature.
