Saria Umair brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the field of education, with a strong emphasis on leadership roles. Having served as the Department Head of English Language, coordinator of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), and editor-in-chief of College Magazine, she has demonstrated her proficiency in various aspects of educational management. With a Master’s degree in English linguistics and Literature, she also holds a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), highlighting her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Since 2013, she has been dedicated to teaching First Language English (IGCSE & A Level) in an international school, in Beijing and is currently at CISB as an MYP English Language and Literature teacher since 2022. She also serves as a GLL in the Middle-High school. She takes immense pleasure in fostering her students' language development, nurturing enthusiasm, and instilling a growth mindset as they tackle challenging texts and assignments. An avid reader herself, she thoroughly enjoys engaging in discussions about books and literature. Beyond the confines of the classroom, Saria delights in cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors with her family, finding joy and inspiration in exploring new cultures and cuisines.
