The CISB Model United Nations After-School Activity (ASA) recently distinguished itself at two renowned events: the Westlake MUN at HIS School in Hangzhou and the BEIMUN Jr. MUN at ISB in Beijing, showcasing exceptional student engagement, leadership, and academic excellence.
High School Highlights:
Best Delegate Awards: High school delegates Alisa Krylova, Katrina Armalovica, and Ziyang were awarded Best Delegate titles for their outstanding performance and valuable insights in various UN committees. Diego also received an Honorable Mention for his noteworthy contributions and leadership within his committee.
Committee Leadership: Arthur Vadnjal demonstrated remarkable leadership as President of the Historic Security Council (HSC), guiding critical discussions on historical issues and enhancing the committee’s progress.
Middle School Highlights:
Most Improved Delegate: Aarush Thakaearned the Most Improved Delegate award at BEIMUN Jr., reflecting his commitment to developing his debate and negotiation skills.
Faculty and Student Supervision: The middle school delegation was well-supported by Sechovec J, Emma Caroline, and Harrison Nti-Appiah, with Rucha Kulkarni serving as the BEIMUN Student Director and assisting in the coordination of event logistics, everything is on track.
Under the guidance of MUN Director Vishwas Kulkarni and MUN Club Student Chair Karen Li, along with additional support from chaperone Peter O’Hare for the Westlake MUN, the CISB MUN delegation exemplified CISB’s dedication to fostering global awareness, diplomatic skills, and academic rigor.
