ADMISSIONS POLICY
Please get in touch with admissions to discuss your family’s specific situation and if you qualify to apply.
ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE
Please note: applications received in March and beyond of any school year for Pre-School and Elementary will require approval from the Principal. The application may be moved to the next academic year.
The admissions process is composed of 5 steps:
Please submit your inquiry online here or call our Admissions team to set up your inquiry on Open Apply for you. Your family will be assigned a dedicated Admission officer who will support your family throughout the admission process through to the first day of school.
2. Visit
Your admissions officer will book the best time for you according to your schedule and the school’s timetable. Join the CISB team on campus or virtually to see our school’s learning environment and facilities and hear about how we implement International Baccalaureate programs enriched by the New Brunswick Canadian provincial curriculum. Learn about what opportunities our students experience through after-school programs and clubs.
3. Application
To be considered for admission to CISB, parents/guardians must complete the online application through Open Apply. Your inquiry will convert to an application once you have completed all sections. If this is your first time using this system, please create an account and submit all supporting documentation according to the instruction. You will be required to upload clear scanned copies of the documents outlined in our checklist:
• Completed Application Form
• Completed and Signed Health Questionnaire
• Signed Enrolment Agreement

Once your documentation has been uploaded and reviewed, your CISB Admissions Officer will schedule your interview and testing with the appropriate examiner. At CISB, we interview students and conduct a WIDA testing to assess the four language domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
This assessment will place the student on a scale of Level 1 (Beginner) to Level 6 (Fluent). In addition, minimum English language proficiency levels are required for grades five and above. See the FAQ’s for full details on English-level requirements.
5. Application Decision
To ensure the best possible learning environment for CISB students. The Admissions and Academic team carefully consider enrollment, including a review of official school report cards, interview evaluation, English language assessment, and confidential reference form.
Your Admissions Officer will endeavour to contact you with the outcome of your application within three working days. However, please understand that it may take 5- 7 working days during the admissions season.
