Over the Winter Break, CISB recently held its inaugural Winter Camp in Qatar, following an invitation from the Qatar Ministry of Culture and Tourism. On December 25th, ten students, along with eleven parents and chaperones, embarked on this enriching journey.

The students explored Qatar’s blend of traditional heritage and modern influence. They visited iconic buildings and experienced old tranditions at the Katara Cultural Village. They also explored the captivating Souq Waqif and attended a camel race at Al Shahaniya, witnessing the fusion of Bedouin heritage with contemporary culture.

A key experience was attending the Doha Expo 2023, themed “Green Desert, Better Environment.” Here, CISB students met local students, collaborated on a banner symbolizing Sino-Qatari friendship, and received certificates for participating in the exchange program.

The students also visited the architecturally stunning Qatar National Museum, highlighting Qatar’s journey towards becoming a dynamic country with modern amenities and impressive buildings. This trip offered the CISB students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Qatar’s diverse and evolving cultural landscape.
