Yesterday was Senior Night for our U19 volleyball teams, and the Bobcat faithful really came out to support our 9 seniors! The gym was jam-packed with students, teachers, administrators, and parents, and the players fed off the loud, positive energy all night.

The boys started off the evening with a commendable performance against a tough Division 1 opponent. Without their starting setter, they still took YCIS to a third set in a back-and-forth battle that was entertaining from start to finish.

Then, between matches, our very talented Ms. Yena Wang, started off the Senior Ceremony with wonderful renditions of both the Canadian and Chinese anthems.

Coach Manderville and Coach Bergh then honored each of the seniors with some kind words about their contribution to the program, and all of the seniors were presented flowers and a small gift. Finally, each senior took a photo with family members who were there to support them. Truly a whole-school community celebration!

Then, in the final chapter of the evening, the varsity girls really put on a show. Starting all five seniors, the Bobcats took down YCIS in straight sets and appear to be heading into the ACAMIS tournament in fine form!

Thank you very much for all the support during this wonderful tradition. It was an amazing sight to see the gym so full of people and energy, and we hope we can do it again soon. We have another double-header tomorrow (Friday), and then, next week, we host the three-day ACAMIS tournament! Please come out and support our teams during this tournament. It’s the biggest tournament we play in each season, and our Bobcats need your support!!
