CISB Shines at the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Ceremony in Beijing
CISB proudly attended the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Ceremony this past weekend at the Peninsula Hotel Beijing, joining schools and education leaders from across China to celebrate student achievement, leadership, and service.
Celebrating CISB Student Achievement
This year, CISB students earned one Gold Award and two Bronze Awards, marking an important milestone for our school:
Our Gold Award recipient completed years of service, skill development, physical recreation, and an adventurous journey.
Our Bronze Award recipients showed strong commitment and enthusiasm as they completed the foundational level of the programme.
These accomplishments reflect CISB’s values of resilience, responsibility, and holistic growth.
Strengthening Holistic Education Through Partnership
A highlight of the event was the signing of a new agreement between AKD (of which CISB is a part) and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award China Office. This collaboration will expand access to the Award across AKD schools and enhance opportunities for CISB students to develop leadership, teamwork, and global citizenship.
Looking Ahead
CISB is committed to growing student participation in the Award and strengthening support for Bronze, Silver, and Gold level journeys. Through experiential learning, service, and challenge, our students continue to build the confidence and character needed to thrive beyond the classroom.
