CISB’s recent premiere of George Orwell’s 1984 was thrilling.
In my role as the Consulting Director for 1984, I aimed to capture the chilling essence of Orwell’s world—one where truth is manipulated and freedom is a distant memory.
Our talented cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring this story to life, and the audience’s response was incredible.
I had a chance to sit down with our Creative Director, Zhannet Z. (G10) to discuss the vision behind this production, and this is what she had to say:
“Adapting 1984 was both a challenge and a privilege. We wanted to ensure that the themes of surveillance, and the struggle for individuality resonated with our audience. I believe our interpretation sparked important conversations about our own society.”
THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the premiere!
The performance took place on May 24th, and it was a powerful experience for all involved. This was more than just a play—it was a chance to reflect on our world and the power of storytelling.
We appreciate your continued support of StageCats and look forward to bringing you more thought-provoking productions in the future!
