Jay joins CISB as the new Head of Department for Design Technology. Jay has a PGCE from the UK and a Bachelor's Degree in IT. He brings 18 years' experience in international schools in Peru and the UK, including 11 years in China, and has also extensive experience of coaching aquatics.

Jay is originally from Raglan, a small New Zealand seaside town where the ocean played a significant role in his upbringing. He loves surfing and gained various boating qualifications and participated in surf life-saving and pool life-saving courses and qualifications.

This has led to a passion for coaching competitive swim teams at school.
