Mr Stefan Berg is a qualified PHE teacher from Ontario, Canada and is joining CISB as the new Head of Department for PHE. He holds an MSC in Phys Ed from the University of Buffalo New York. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Athletic Coaching, he continues to explore how research-based practices can enhance both educational and athletic experiences for students.

Mr Berg has 16 years of experience as a teacher in Canada, Indonesia and DRC, including 8 years' experience as Athletics Director and Head of PHE and the MYP. He is also passionate about coaching sports and has wide experience coaching multiple sports including; Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Ultimate Frisbee Track and Field, Floor Hockey, and even Alpine Skiing!

Outside of the classroom and coaching spaces, Mr Berg enjoys an active family life with his wife and 16-year-old son. Together, they often spend time travelling and exploring local cultures wherever they are based. A lifelong enthusiast of sports, Stefan enjoys participating in a variety of activities such as volleyball, basketball, skiing and jiu-jitsu.
