Harvard Business Impact Business Pioneer Case Challenge 2025-2026 (National Finals)
Raymond L., Sam X., Alan L. and Eason Y. proudly represented CISB at the Harvard Business Pioneer Challenge in Shanghai (7-10 February). The prestigious, highly competitive event saw over 1,200 participants across 400 teams from all over China.
As an update, our team received the award for Outstanding New Participating School and was shortlisted in the Pioneer 100 Challenge — a result that placed the team among the top 50% of participating schools.
Over three intensive days, teams competed as fully functioning businesses, tasked with developing a novel, innovative product. A unique element of the Challenge required each team to collaborate with another group.
Representing Jiuzhai Valley National Park, our boys partnered with a team representing IKEA.
Together, they developed an AI-powered furniture design tool inspired by indigenous culture and natural environments. Their proposal focused not only on innovation but also on preserving and promoting the culture of the Qiang ethnic group.
The team presented their idea to a panel of independent business professionals and academics. Presenting in such a high-level forum can be demanding, yet the boys demonstrated humility, confidence, professionalism, and impressive teamwork throughout.
At present, we are still awaiting the individual challenge results, which may give the boys a chance to qualify for the global stage at Harvard.
Congratulations to Raymond, Sam, Alan, and Eason! We are incredibly proud of their achievements so far and look forward to building on this success in future competitions!
