Ms Arundhati Sharma is joining CISB as the Head of Department for I&S and Teacher of Psychology. She holds a UK teaching certification and holds several degrees, including a Master’s from the London School of Economics, and Master’s and Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Education in second language instruction with the American College of Education.

Originally from India, Arundhati in Sanskrit is derived from two words Arun - meaning the sun, and Dhati - meaning to hold. Together it represents brightness and strength, and is also a name given to the morning star in the Hindu system.

Ms Sharma is a member of the American Psychological Association and brings 13 years of experience teaching a range of international curricula including IBDP, MYP, A levels, IGCSE, and AP, including 6 years in China, including as Head of Department roles. She has worked on CIS Accreditation committees and has completed CIS Evaluators training.

Ms Sharma speaks 5 languages, enjoys writing, traveling, painting, reading, watching good movies, cooking, and stitch work, and exploring places of cultural diversity.
