
Dina Tagaeva
Ms Dina Tagaeva joins CISB as the new Head of Department for Science, and Teacher of DP Biology. Originally from Kyrgyzstan, she has Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the US, and she also has a Degree in Bioengineering. She has completed multiple professional workshops over the years.
As a dedicated educator, she specializes in secondary-level Biology (Grades 7–12) and holds a license to teach in the District of Columbia, United States, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in education.
Ms Tagaeva has over 15 years of extensive teaching experience in the sciences in various curricula, including IB Diploma Programme/Middle Years Programme (IB DP/MYP) IGCSE, AS-Level, Advanced Placement (AP), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This experience includes 8 years as Head of Department in schools in China. She also has experience as a Head of House.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Tagaeva passionately engages in handicrafts such as knitting and crocheting, sharing her skills with young students. She transforms this creative endeavour into a meaningful community service initiative by donating their handcrafted items to various charitable organizations, fostering both creativity and a spirit of giving among her students.
Ms Tagaeva lives with her daughter and husband.
