Karen Barros Vega joins CISB with extensive international experience as a music educator and department leader across IB and Cambridge curricula. She has taught PYP and MYP Music, led music departments, and directed choirs, rock bands, and large-scale school performances, fostering creativity, collaboration, and artistic excellence. Karen holds a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy, a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from the Universitat de Barcelona, and a Bachelor of Music, and has completed IB MYP Arts professional development. In addition to her work in music, she is a former professional volleyball player and qualified coach, and she is eager to contribute to CISB’s athletic program in this area.
