Early Years/Elementary School Principal

Lucila, originally from Colombia, is an accomplished educator with 16 years of experience, including 12 years in international schools in Japan and China, and four years in the United States. She holds a B.A. in Bilingual Education for Early Childhood and Elementary, as well as a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction Design with an emphasis in Mathematics.

As an IBEN Workshop Leader and School Visit Team Member, Lucila brings extensive experience in multicultural, globally-minded environments. She is passionate about student-centered learning and is committed to creating spaces where students can explore their passions and develop a sense of global responsibility.

Fluent in English and Spanish, and currently learning Chinese, Lucila is honored to join the CISB family. Her multilingual abilities and dedication to cultural diversity align perfectly with CISB’s mission to provide a comprehensive international education. Lucila is happily married and has two young children, she deeply values family time, relationships, and connections.
