Raul Ariza, affectionately known as Mr. A, is an energetic and cheerful teacher, always with a smile on his face and full of energy. He has been teaching Physical Education for over 15 years, with experience in IB, American, and Cambridge curricula. His teaching career spans Colombia, his home country, as well as The Bahamas, Namibia, and Panama City, where he served as the athletic director. Most recently, he has spent the last three years in Mongolia. Mr. A excels in organizing school-wide sports activities and events and has coordinated and chaperoned numerous field trips and camps. With extensive experience in outdoor education, he has coached various sports, including ice and roller hockey, climbing, ultimate frisbee, swimming, volleyball, and soccer as well as a fitness team. A former professional roller hockey player, he is now an international roller hockey referee. He is passionate about all forms of physical activity, dancing to Latin music, traveling, and cooking.
