Ms. Sun is one of the Nursery teachers and the head of Montessori at CISB. She is a caring, dedicated and experienced educator who has been working with children for the past 18 years both in China and Canada. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Youth and Child Care from the University of Victoria, and her AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3) and Children's House (3-6) diplomas in Canada. Ms. Sun worked with children from three to six years old in her early teaching years, and then she focused on children from birth to three years of age since 2011. She believes that children have an innate ability to learn and that, when supported by an appropriate environment and educator, they are guided through their developmental needs to reach their full potential. She has a strong understanding of Montessori pedagogy and current medical and psychological approaches to child development from birth to six years of age. She also has been working on parental education and training local Montessori teachers and assistants.
