ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP TEAM
AKD Head of School/Superintendent -Mr. Douglas K. Prescott
-Over 45 years of experience in the education field in Canada, Bangladesh and China as a PE/Athletic Director, Vice-principal, Principal, District Supervisor, Founding Head of School, Head of School and Superintendent; proud to be in his 13th year at CISB.
-Earned Master of Education degree (MEd) with a specialization in School Administration and Leadership from University of Moncton; a Bachelor of Education from University of New Brunswick, Canada.
-A regular speaker at conferences in Beijing and across China on topics such as Teacher/Leader Resiliency, How to Become a Great Teacher, 21st Century Skills. Most recently, as a keynote speaker at the ACAMIS ELL conference-Teachers Make All the Difference.
-Recognized as one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Headmasters in International Schools” by Newschool Insight Media in 2016.
-Recipient of the Minister’s Excellence Teaching Medallion for International Engagement from the province of New Brunswick.

Middle/High School Principal and Director of Academics -Mr. James McCrory
-Experienced educator and administrator who is into his 29th year in education having worked in schools in the UK, Spain, Japan, Kuwait, and China.
-Earned a B.A. (Honors) -3D Design; a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Art & Design), a M. A. Education (International Education Leadership), M.Sc. Education (Learning and Technology) and a CSML-Certificate in School Management and Leadership.
-Has worked within Asia for the past 18 years, with 10 of those years, here in China.
-Leadership experience includes being a Director of the Arts, a Principal & Headmaster and Head of School.
-Has 13 years of experience with IB programs-PYP, MYP & DP.

Middle/High School Vice Principal Flynn Boyle
-Joining CISB in the 2021-22 school year.
-14 years of experience in education, including prior leadership roles such as Vice Principal, MYP Coordinator, Head of Department.
-Bachelor of Arts (English & History) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) from the University of Queensland (Australia)
-Has taught Grades 6 to 12 for History, Geography, Individuals and Societies, and English.

Pre-School/Elementary Principal Mr. Allen McInnis
-Over 20 years of experience in the field of education, with seven of those years dedicated to administrative and curriculum roles.
-A Dual Master of Education (MEd) degree, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration as well as Curriculum and Instruction, from the American College of Education in the United States.
-Internationally recognized Principal (PTC) Certification.
-Served as the High School Academic Assistant Principal at GEMS AKNS; MYP Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator for PYP Mathematics and Assessment at the renowned GEMS World Academy located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Served Curriculum & Accreditation Coordinator at the Qatar Foundation, Qatar Academy Sidra
-Earlier in his career, Allen led the Math Department at J.B. Tyrell Sr. Public School in Scarborough, Ontario.

Pre-School/Elementary Vice-Principal – Mr. Hisham Farghaly
-An experienced educator and administrator who is into his 16th year in education who has worked in Egypt and Oman.
-Has experience as a Mentor, Coach, Continuum Leader for 8 years and during the past 6 years, as Vice-principal and IB PYP/MYP Associate Coordinator, and ATL/Curriculum Continuum Coordinator.
-He has a B.A. in Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic Studies, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a Special Diploma in Learning Difficulties and Developing Curriculum, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and International Curriculum and National Professional Qualification for Senior leadership (NPQSL).
-Hisham has much experience as an IB workshop leader, having delivered more than 25 IB workshops in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
-He is an IB Programme Leader, IB Reader, IB PYP School Visit Team Member and IB Online Facilitator.
