Whether you were looking for educational materials for children, thrilling adventures, or the latest bestsellers, there was something for everyone. The fair aimed to foster a love for reading and provide an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate literature.
Roundabout: Connecting Generosity with Need
Roundabout, the esteemed partner in this event, is a social enterprise operated by dedicated volunteers. Established in 2008, it was the first charity store in mainland China. Roundabout provides a free service that connects those who wish to give—be it monetary donations or other resources—to those in need. Their efforts have extended support to over 80 charitable organizations in the Beijing area, as well as many more throughout China, Inner Mongolia, and Mongolia.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
By participating in the CISB Book Fair, attendees indulged in the joy of reading and contributed to a worthy cause. Proceeds from the fair will support Roundabout’s ongoing charitable efforts, furthering their mission to assist vulnerable communities and promote positive change.
The CISB Book Fair was more than just a sale; it was a celebration of reading, learning, and community spirit. It was a chance to discover new books, engage with fellow bibliophiles, and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
