The boys volleyball team played amazing over the three days of ACAMIS. Finishing 2nd in the Round Robin stage had the team facing the host QSI-Shenzhen in the semi finals where they earned their way to the finals with a 2-1 win. The boys faced a strong YCIS-Pudong team in the finals but ultimately fell short in two sets 26-24 and 25-20. Although the finals did not go as planned, placing 2nd is a great achievement. Nicholai Clare and Tony Tsui were named All-Stars as voted on by their teammates and Coaches.
The girls volleyball team played spectacularly during the three-day ACAMIS tournament, earning their second straight conference title! With only one small blip on Thursday, the girls dominated their opponents, including a 2-0 (25:17; 25:12) victory over YCIS-Pudong in the final. The girls played through injury and illness and were led by the steady setting of their captain, Nanako. Amanda and Phoebe also shined during the tournament and were both named to the all-star team, as selected by their teammates and coaches. Great job, Bobcats!!
The Bobcats were led by one of the finest coaching staffs a volleyball court has ever seen: Noelle Wilson as head coach of the girls and Ken Manderville as head coach of the boys. Jeff Zownir also contributed greatly as an assistant coach for both teams.
