On September 13-14, CISB was invited to participate in the Volleyball China Cup at the International School of Beijing. We went up against 5 schools that are part of APAC who are some of the best volleyball teams in Southeast Asia.
U19 Girls Volleyball Team
Despite not winning any games on Friday, the girls came out on fire on Saturday morning, first beating Concordia in the quarterfinals and then WAB in the semifinals. Against WAB, the girls were losing 11-1 in the second set (and later 22-14), but came back to win 25-22 in what can only be described as an incredible comeback. Although they ran out of gas in the finals against ISB, they finished in 2nd place overall, which is an amazing accomplishment!

U19 Boys Volleyball Team
Although we didn’t win a game, the boys competed with lots of heart and determination and made the other teams earn their wins. This was a great opportunity for the team to see what we need to do as a team to continue improving. Though a lot of great volleyball was played, ultimately it came down to not being able to capitalize on our chances! We’re very proud of the boys!
