The atmosphere at yesterday’s MYP Personal Project Exhibition at CISB was a powerful testament to the impact of student agency. The event was a vivid showcase of what happens when young people are given the freedom to pursue their deepest passions and create their own definitions of success.
The sheer diversity of the projects on display was a highlight for all who attended. Visitors moved between remarkably complex technical feats, such as an originally designed sports car featuring a working petrol engine, and meticulous cultural explorations, including exquisite, hand-made traditional Qing Dynasty clothing.
From high-octane engineering to delicate historical craftsmanship, the “everything in between” included digital innovations, social advocacy campaigns, and unique artistic expressions.
Beyond the final products, the exhibition highlighted the growth and resilience of our Grade 10 students. By navigating the challenges of a long-term independent project, they demonstrated that learning is most meaningful when it is self-driven.
It was a proud moment for the CISB community to witness our students not just as learners, but as experts, creators, and visionary thinkers ready to take on the next stage of their educational journey.
