Check-Out ProceduresWhile we will be sad to see you go!
Please ensure that you follow the appropriate check-¬out procedures listed below when departing at the end of each school year or if you are leaving CISB permanently.
If you are returning for the next school year:
For safety
Please unplug all electronic appliances, such as the AC, iron, oven, and hairdryer, and turn off the water/faucet in your classroom and apartment before leaving. (The refrigerator can be left plugged in if you have items in it. Power outages may occur, however, so it is recommended that you do not leave perishable items in the refrigerator over the summer.)
For cleaning the curtains in your apartment
Please let P&F know if you DO NOT need this service before end of school year.
For stuff in the hallway of the residence
Please DO NOT leave your personal belongings in the hallway before you go for the holiday for safety reasons. P&F will NOT take any responsibility for lost items.
For keys
Please return all classrooms and office keys to the academic office before you leave.
For plants
If you need Ayi to water your plants, please move those into the greenhouse before you leave.
Make sure that there is a label on the item, showing the room number and your name.
Please note that P&F only water plants, DO NOT take any responsibility for lost items.
- Please take all valuable goods with you when you leave for your holiday in order to keep them safe and clean.
- Remove all garbage from the apartment.
If you are departing permanently:
- Schedule a check-out time with the P&F Department prior to your departure date (at least 72 hours in advance).
- Remove all garbage and clean the apartment thoroughly.
- Unplug all electrical appliances.
- Clean out your refrigerator.
- Leave the door unlocked.
- Be sure that all the furniture and furnishings provided by CISB are in their original place and are in good condition.
- Remove all personal belongings from the apartment.
- Return your ID Card & key to the staff member that checks you out.
- Pay any fines that you may have insured due to loss or damage.
